NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Pelicans promoted their team’s jersey code on Wednesday.
But not everyone is pleased with it.
The promotion code is set to expire Dec. 31, so fans who don’t purchase the jersey until then will still be able to purchase it through the official Saints website.
The code is a part of a larger effort to increase sales of the Saints apparel.
The jersey code was unveiled in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
It was created to promote the Saints’ jersey and also provide some relief from the storm.
The Saints released a statement saying they were “delighted to have the opportunity to promote their team jersey” on Wednesday morning.
But some people are unhappy with the code, and the Pelicans’ official Twitter account posted a picture of fans chanting at the top of their lungs.
