Chipotle announced a slew of new promotions Thursday, including new pricing points and a new location for a limited-time offer.
The company also said it will offer a new version of its popular Chipotle burrito with two items, including two items from its menu.
Chipotle said the burrito will be available in two new markets: Mexico City and Las Vegas.
Chipotles burritos will be offered in new markets in Las Vegas and Mexico City starting April 16.
The burrito features two different items, one chicken breast and one chicken, with one-fourth chicken, one-quarter chicken, and two-thirds chicken.
The price will be $1.49 per serving.
The new price points are: $1.50 for a 2-piece, $1 a half-pound, $2 a pound, $3 a half pound, and $4 a pound; The 2- and 4-pound chips will be sold for $3.99 a pound.
For the half-pounds, the chipotle burrito will be priced at $2.49.
The 1-pound chip will be at $1, $4, $6, and at least $9 a pound depending on location.
Chipotle said it’s working to find new markets for the new chips.
In addition, the company said it is launching an expanded menu of burritoes for Mexican and Asian markets.
At its annual shareholders meeting on Wednesday, Chipotle CEO Brian Niccol said the company is in a “very good position to move into the new year with better margins than we had before.”
The company said the expanded menu is expected to be available by early 2019.
More to come.
